Happy Resurrection!

As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus, we exalt the name of God most High for His GREAT LOVE for us, and Jesus for His unfathomable sacrifice for us. To say He laid down His life for us is a fact, but what words could we actually use to convey the gravity of what He did and what it means for us? Charles Wesley (John Wesley’s brother) tried to convey the magnitude of the task when he wrote the hymn, “O For A Thousand Tongues to Sing,” saying:

“O for a thousand tongues to sing
my great Redeemer's praise,
the glories of my God and King,
the triumphs of his grace!”

The triumph of His grace speaks to what he accomplished on the cross for us and what he accomplished in his resurrection. Forgiveness, reconciliation to God, and a new life with God that makes life abundant now as we live by grace through faith and will make it glorious when He returns, and we behold Him face to face.

Happy Resurrection Season to you, and thank You, Jesus, for Your matchless sacrifice!
