Pastors Column Aug 4 2021

Hello Everyone, and Greetings to you in the name of Christ our Savior!

It is my joy to greet you for this August Newsletter. My family and I are so glad to be here with you and to be a part of the Cornerstone Family. You have helped us to feel so warmly welcomed so thank you so much. I want to thank you for the wonderful reception on my first Sunday and for the lovely gift basket. We have already begun using gift cards (which have been a real help since it is still hard for me to cook as I recover from my car accident), and we’ve used the Home Depot card to get keys made, and so much more.

In August I look forward to meeting with the Reopening Team to talk about our way forward as we continue through this season of COVID Pandemic. We want to make sure that we stay connected and enjoy each other’s fellowship while keeping everyone safe.

Thank you for being willing to reschedule our “meet and greets” and I look forward to meeting more of you in the days ahead.

Here is my heart scripture, the one that keeps me anchored in my life, I share it with you because I believe that it is “our” scripture as well:

“I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a bright hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11)

So as we move through this new season together, I ask that you keep this in mind, no matter what challenge comes–it will be temporary. The Plans that the Lord has for us will always prevail and we will again and again prosper because we trust in Him.

God bless you, and I look forward to our August together.

With Love,
Pastor Comer
