Club56

ABOUT CLUB 56:

Club 56 was designed to transition children who are developmentally ready from the elementary program into the youth program here at Cornerstone. A main goal of Club 56 is for children to understand Who God is, Who Jesus is, Who the Holy Spirit is, and accept the gift of salvation in Jesus’ actions. We encourage children to ask why questions and aim to provide experience with Bible truths. Over the course of the year the group will discuss the Bible, church history, personal discipleship, the life and actions of Jesus and tough questions for believers as youth prepare for confirmation in 6th grade. In addition to the Sunday experience, there will be several opportunities for children in Club 56 to serve and fellowship with one another throughout the school year

Dear Club 56 Families,

WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW:

In Club 56 this year we will follow the same discipleship process used by the larger congregation to deepen faith with Believe Connect Serve Share. We have three fantastic volunteers returning to lead the Sunday sessions: Terry Thomas first service, and Joleen Cohee and Molly Littlefield second service.

We will encourage children to ask why questions and aim to provide experience with Bible truths. The curriculum we’ve chosen for the year is designed to tell the story of redemption and create a safe place for kids to grow in their faith. In addition to the Sunday experience, there will be several opportunities for children in Club 56 to serve and fellowship with one another throughout the school year. Finally, for those of you with children in 6th grade, the Club 56 year will culminate in the option for your child to go through confirmation and formally join Cornerstone Church in early June. Here is the anticipated schedule for the upcoming year:

We are excited to share this year with you and your child. If you have any questions or ideas, please feel free to Maria Vachlon, our Middle School Ministries Coordinator.

In Him,

The Club 56 Team
